Beechwood is a beer sales and distributor located in New Berlin, WI, distributing Anheuser Busch products as well as an extensive array of craft beers. Briohn designed and constructed this 60,000 SF cold storage and distribution addition during one of the most severe winters and wettest springs in Wisconsin history and still delivered the project on time and on budget. The addition was constructed with cast-on-site, tilt-up concrete composite wall panels with integrated vapor barrier and R-35 insulation. The panels matched the existing building’s precast concrete wall panels. An eight-inch thick reinforced concrete floor was installed to meet the Anheuser-Busch specified, overall floor flatness (50 ff) and floor levelness (35 fl) criteria without any cracks, shrinkage or curling, enabling Beechwood to store kegs and cases in a safe and efficient manner.
