Great Lakes Orthopedics is a supplier and distributor of orthopedic and podiatric products. Wanting a new facility to reflect the company’s culture, the owner worked with Briohn to design and construct the 21,220 SF Great Lakes Orthopedics headquarters. Housing its two companies in this cohesive and contemporary working environment, the building features an expansive, curving glass facade, cream porcelain floor tiles and exposed ceilings. Off-white and gray tones throughout create a light and airy feel and copper panels, stainless steel fixtures, geometric metallic wall panels and a sleek asymmetrical Cesar stone fireplace create the high-tech, modern attitude that the clients sought. Floor-to-ceiling windows and borrowed lights in the lobby provide an abundance of natural daylight that illuminates the private offices, conference rooms and the open office area.
