Lad Lake School Synergy North Shell Building

For 150 years, Lad Lake has been providing education and care for youth who come from families in crisis that are unable to support them. The organization is viewed as the emergency room of the child welfare system. In collaboration with Phillip Katz Project Development, Briohn designed and constructed this 44,000 SF complete renovation of an abandoned industrial building, including major structural work necessary to allow the installation of new interior stairwells and an elevator. A 6,600 SF gymnasium addition was also incorporated into the project. In 2007, Lad Lake School won the Mayor’s Urban Design Award and the Business Journal Real Estate Award.
