Briohn constructed this complex 6,800 SF addition to house a new two-story Radio Frequency (RF) Shield Chamber for LS Research. LS Research is an industry leader in wireless product development headquartered in Cedarburg, WI. In addition to the RF Shield Chamber, the addition houses two separate mezzanines and a shop area. This project was completed while LS Research remained fully operational. Briohn completed this project on a tight site that backed up to a residential subdivision. New electrical service was required, however, LS Research could not be without power for more than a few hours. Briohn coordinated the installation and activation of the new service with the utility company, resulting in a limited power shut-down at the building. The addition mirrors the architecture of the original building, which required matching the decorative masonry block, windows and painting of the entire building. Briohn delivered a final product that appears to have always been a part of the building.
