Working with the City of Franklin to develop a campus setting with two buildings, Briohn designed and constructed this 240,000 SF facility for Proteus, now owned by Quad Packaging. In this facility, Quad Packaging provides a global array of clients with printing services, including sheet-fed offset, Flexo, rotary letterpress and digital and finishing solutions including die cutting, folding, gluing, embossing, foil stamping and stringing.
Work on this project included vacating a city street to accommodate the development of a large fountain feature at the entrance to the campus. This project also included working with the owner to coordinate owner-furnished equipment, compressors, in-floor electronics for warehouse packing and storage and a complete air conditioning system. The reception and office area floors are heated with hydronic in floor heating and offices are balanced with VAV hot water reheat and air conditioning systems, all controlled by a computerized panel.
